Jara Beach Resort only operates to provide memorable beach experiences. We set the scene, you make the memories!

ALL-INCLUSIVE
Three a la carte meals are provided daily, along with snacks and popular alcoholic and soft drinks. Only food provided by JARA is permitted to be consumed on site during your stay - except for celebration cakes and baby food. All consumable items are subject to availability. There is no charge for bringing in your preferred drink (no corkage) however, these must be declared on arrival for a sticker to be allocated to the drink. PREMIUM COLLECTION sold separately. Customers are respectfully advised to finish all food and drink ordered before reordering - ensuring you only order as much as you are able to consume. Restrictions apply. Management reserves the right to refuse service without reason.

Alcoholic beverages are served from 12:00 NOON - 12:00 MIDNIGHT, daily.​

POWER GUIDELINES
The village of Museyo has no grid power. Jara Beach Resort runs on a mix of generators and green power. All lights and plugs for small devices will run around the clock. All rooms have fans. Air-Conditioners and Water Heaters will operate between the following times for your comfort:
5pm-7pm and 9pm – 10am

QUIET HOURS
12midnight to 8AM. If you become aware of a disruptive guest, please contact Reception staff immediately by Whatsapp or in person. Televisions, voices, and media devices must be kept at a respectful low level at all times. Doors should be opened and closed quietly. No congregating or running in halls.

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT (Overnight)
Unless otherwise stated explicitly, check-in time is after 2PM and check-out time is 11AM. For early arrival before 2PM, it is recommended to pre-book early check-in (subject to availability) or pay the early access fee on arrival. JARA may accommodate late check-out after 11AM for an additional fee; subject to room availability.

REQUESTS
All requests entered at the time of booking are subject to availability and JARA bears no responsibility should it be unable to fulfil certain requests.
​
ROOM OCCUPANCY
The total number of occupants in a room, including children, is shown on the Room Detail Page.
If you have any questions regarding JARA's Maximum Occupancy Policy, our staff will be happy to explain in detail. Please also note that JARA reserves the right to refuse entry to any additional guest exceeding the maximum occupancy allowed for that room type.

CHILDREN
JARA allows infants (0-1yr) to stay for free. Baby cots and small beds are complimentary provided upon request, subject to availability). Child's food menu available.

AGE REQUIREMENT
Guests must be 18 years or older with photo identification uploaded during booking or at check-in. Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. JARA reserves the right to check photo identification.

WiFi ACCESS
Access to our WiFi is free for registered guests. The resort WiFi access code is subject to change without notice. WiFi signals are subject to change without notice depending on location. JARA BEACH RESORT assumes no liability for guest use.
​
DAMAGE TO HOTEL PROPERTY
JARA reserves the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage or soiling, caused by accidental, deliberate, negligent or reckless act of the guest to JARA's property or structure. If you break something, please do inform a member of staff.

SAFE DEPOSIT BOX
Guests are encouraged to keep their valuables in the in-room safe. JARA shall not be liable for the loss of money or other personal valuables during your stay.

PARKING
Staying guests are limited to one complimentary parking space daily.
​
PETS
Jara maintains a strict no-pets policy on its premises except for guide dogs.
​
PROHIBITED ITEMS
The following items are not permitted in JARA's premises:
Animals of any kind, except guide dogs
Flammable, explosive or otherwise hazardous materials
Objects emitting a foul odour
Unregistered firearms or other weapons
Objects of an unusually large size or in unusually large quantities
Articles related to use in gambling, prostitution, smuggling or other illicit acts
Illegal drugs or other articles, the possession of which is prohibited by the laws of Nigeria.

Jara reserves the right to refuse entry to any guest found to be in possession of prohibited items. Guests shall be solely liable and responsible for all loss financial or otherwise, and damage that may be caused by such items.
​
​Please note; uniformed police/ MOPOL / personal attachments are not permitted to be uniformed, or carrying weapons inside Jara Beach Resort (on the sand) - their access is limited to the entrance and back of the property, only. We are a serene and tranquil private beach resort.
​
PHOTOGRAPH'S AND VIDEOGRAPHY
Using photographs and videos taken in the hotel for commercial or public purposes required prior discussion and approval. Such examples include, but are not limited to music videos, brand shoots, product endorsements etc.
​
FIRE SAFETY POLICY
The resort is fully equipped with smoke detectors, fire safety information in the guest room welcome book including emergency evacuation plans. Please review this important information.
​
VISITORS
To maintain an exclusively inclusive experience, JARA operates no walk-in guest policy for regular single/ multi-room paying. Our Day Pass and Meal Pass options are available, ideally booked and paid for in advance. Guest are permitted for weddings/ private (full-house) bookings, where all visitors are required to register on arrival at the Reception and are requested to leave the premises by 12midnight latest.

CCTV
CCTV systems operate in the resort's communal areas. Video surveillance is carried out for the guests’ and staff’s personal security and to ensure the high standard of service.
​
LOST AND FOUND
JARA expects guests to do a thorough check of their rooms and communal areas before leaving the property to ensure no items/ personal possessions have been left. JARA will make efforts via email to contact the guest if it becomes aware of anything that has been left, within 24 hours. It is the responsibility of the guest to retrieve any item(s) from JARA. If any item remains at JARA for more than 30 calendar days since the date of departure and no attempts have been made to retrieve the item, JARA will donate or destroy the item.

HEALTH AND WELL-BEING POLICIES

EXCESSIVE NOISE AND PARTIES
T​o ensure all guests enjoy the comfort and safety of the facilities we offer, JARA upholds a strict zero tolerance policy towards commotion, excessive noise and parties. Any person found to be on our premises creating excessive noise or otherwise causing a disturbance will be requested to leave the resort without refund.

INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOUR
Should any action by a guest, may it be towards our staff or otherwise, be deemed inappropriate by JARA, or if any inappropriate behaviour is brought to attention, JARA reserves the right, after the allegations have been investigated, to take action against the guest which may result in, but not limited to, being asked to leave without a refund for any services incurred.

SMOKING
Smoking is only permitted in designated areas of the resort as well as on bedroom balconies (only). A N100,000 fine will be issued to guests who choose to smoke in a bedroom or indoor area.
The use of marijuana and other illegal drugs is strictly prohibited.
​
Shisha is available at the same time alcohol is served; from 12noon-12midnight, daily and can be ordered at the Front Desk or via SABIS. Shisha coal will be replaced once as standard and you can expect to enjoy for one to one and a half hours. Please state the number of mouth pieces required when ordering.
​
Shisha is not allowed in rooms, thatched areas, or balconies/ verandas. The main terrace, poolside, fire pit or beachfront are all available to enjoy.​
​
IMPORTANT
Please be informed that JARA BEACH RESORT will not take any responsibility for and products/ services being offered or provided by external providers outside of the resort. The resort does not take any liability for accidents or other exceptional incidents in connection with the above mentioned services respectively.

EMAIL MARKETING
By submitting your booking request, you agree for Jara Beach Resort to add you to an infrequent email marketing list - where we'll inform you of any exciting changes. Should you not wish to receive, simply unsubscribe.

PAYMENT POLICIES

CURRENCY AND TAX
Rates are in Nigerian Naira (NGN) and exclude 5% consumption tax and 7.5% VAT, unless indicated.
​
PAYMENTS
Bookings are only confirmed upon full payment, prior to your arrival.
​
THIRD-PARTY BOOKING SOURCES
In the case of cancellation or modifications to reservations made through sources other than directly with JARA BEACH RESORT or its own website, the resort recommends that guests first contact their source of booking for assistance before approaching resort staff (i.e. the Agent or Tour Guide).

JARA BEACH RESORT | CANCELLATION POLICY
​
**BOOKINGS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE, BUT ARE TRANSFERABLE**
​
ALL BOOKING (NEW AND AMENDMENTS) ARE HANDLED VIA THE BOOKING WEBSITE OR EMAIL ONLY, STRICTLY (NOT CALLS OR WHATSAPP).
​
If for any reason you need to postpone your reservation, the following timelines apply. With notice provided, your booking can be transferred, once at no additional cost, to a future date within three calendar months of the original scheduled arrival date:
​
Day Passes - 48 hours notice required (prior to 2pm two days before)
One Room - 48 hours notice required (prior to 2pm two days before)
Two Rooms - 72 hours notice required (prior to 2pm three days before)
Three or Four Rooms - 96 hours notice required (prior to 2pm four days before)
Five or All Rooms - One week's notice required (prior to 2pm seven days before)
If a request to postpone is received within the above required notice period (i.e. on the same day):
For Day Pass visits, you may transfer to another name/ group for use on the same day, at no extra cost, or you may transfer to a later date within three calendar months by paying 50% of the booking cost.
For overnight visits, a cancellation charge will apply, which will be equal to your first night room rate (against the full booking) or you may transfer to a later date within three calendar months by paying 50% of the booking cost.

Should you wish to transfer beyond three months, a fixed 25% fee against your booking will apply.
​
Should you wish to transfer for a second time (or more), a fixed 25% fee will apply for each change request.
​
If a refund is provided - due to a double-booked date, or guest names not being forthcoming for example, or user error, refunds will be provided subject to a N10,000 admin and handling fee. Refunds will be provided within three working days.
​
JARA BEACH RESORT is not responsible for weather conditions, roads, personal emergencies, or schedule changes.
​
NO SHOW CHARGES
We will keep your room available for the duration of your booking should you fail to check in on the scheduled arrival date. The room will be treated as paid for and occupied.
